The National Strategies have developed an extensive range of advice and guidance to support pupils learning English as an additional language (EAL). This includes the New Arrivals Excellence Programme (incorporating cross-phase materials to support the teaching of pupils who are new to English), guidance for Early Years practitioners and primary and secondary materials for more advanced EAL learners. Begin by selecting one of the programmes below or by using the search box.
