Reading own recount to whole class
This first piece of evidence shows Daniel reading his own personally created text to the whole class. Daniel wrote this piece unaided, after the May holiday, in the child-initiated writing area.
Assessment commentary
- Daniel's reading was stilted and nervous, lacking fluency and expression, although he paused at full stops. His hands often covered his mouth, making audibility difficult (AF1 L1 b3).
- Discussed his own language choices e.g. 'premyaleag' (premier league). Also explained that he'd used 'As well as that' as a sentence opener because it was a good way of adding another piece of information (AF5 L2 b1).
