Assessment criteria
The assessment criteria for a strand of mathematics, as used in the Assessing pupils' progress in mathematics materials, are shown against a range of levels.
In Key Stage 3, criteria are available for level 3 to level 8. The links between mathematics learning objectives and criteria are pitched as follows:
- Year 7: level 4, level 5, level 6
- Year 8: level 4, level 5, level 6
- Year 9: level 5, level 6, level 7.
Criteria are also available for the higher levels of Key Stage 3.
