This course is part of Excellence and Enjoyment: learning and teaching for Black children in the primary years, supporting an inclusive curriculum relating teaching and learning to Black children's achievement. It provides guidance for senior leaders and CPD for all staff to promote discussion and challenge perceptions. Suitable for self study and group activity, it will help you evaluate school provision, identify areas for development and key leadership and management tasks associated with raising the achievement of Black children.
Learning outcomes
- Explore learning and teaching approaches which raise the achievement of Black children.
- Provide conditions for learning which value diversity, and build and promote self-confidence.
- Challenge racism and promote race equality in school.
- Develop effective partnerships with parents, carers, families and communities.
