Imagine you were in a different country, where you didn't speak the language and everyone was a stranger. You'd feel more confident with a guide, some orientation, and for people to be friendly to you.
Like you, new arrivals need to be made to feel welcome, know what is expected of them, and what they need to do. This e-learning resource will help you to understand effective processes for welcome and induction, initial pupil assessment, support systems and classroom intervention. It provides an introduction to this area of work whether you work in a primary or secondary school.
