Material to help teachers and practitioners teach writing in the
Reception year of the Foundation Stage and through Key Stage 1. The
booklet addresses generic issues on the teaching of writing with young
children and also addresses each year group individually. Topics
covered include fiction and poetry, non-fiction, developing handwriting
and developing
spelling. This document can be found on a CD-ROM but
is currently being amended in response to the recommendations of the
Rose Report on early reading and the revision of the literacy
framework.
