Overview
Booklet aiming to support a more systematic approach to oral work by showing how objectives for speaking and listening can be built into teaching. This process needs to be supported and monitored in various different ways to ensure it is successfully used. It contains objectives for teaching speaking and listening in Years 1 to 6, arranged in two formats: by term and by year to guide planning and by strand to highlight progression within each strand. This document was produced in 2003 (Ref 0627-2003).
