The document gives guidance on teaching physical education to pupils for whom English is an additional language.

The first part is intended for subject leaders of physical education and EMA in secondary schools. It is designed to support a departmental meeting reviewing the attainment of EAL pupils.

The second part is for all physical education teachers, aimed at helping them support EAL pupils in the classroom, particularly those working at levels 3 to 4.
