Science: Introducing curricular targets and reviewing action points
The unit on introducing curricular targets and reviewing action points is a management unit and complements the launch unit. The unit is intended for the head of science and the Key Stage 3 coordinator.
The ideas developed in this unit encourage science departments to set curricular targets. Identifying curricular targets requires a review of action points. This provides an opportunity to examine monitoring and evaluation strategies that can be used to ensure that action points are completed successfully in the Key Stage 3 section of the school/departmental improvement plan.
