Mathematics

Primary children learning mathematics in a classroom.

Effective practice in assessment, target setting and pupil tracking are integral to good teaching and effective management. National Strategies guidance supports the aims of The Assessment for Learning Strategy and the three linked aspects of assessment: day-to-day assessment; periodic assessment and transitional assessment. This area contains the primary assessment guidance for mathematics.
