Sample teaching units for ICT – Year 7
These units form part of a series that illustrates how yearly learning objectives from the Framework for secondary ICT can be grouped together and taught.
The units contain sample lesson plans that you can, if you wish, amend to suit your local circumstances and the needs of your pupils. Further guidance on using the units is available in the introduction of each document.
Please note: Some of these files are very large and will take a long time to download using a domestic modem.
The sample teaching units were published in a series of training days run by your LA. They are not available to order separately but participants' packs for the relevant training day may be ordered from DCSF Publications using the appropriate reference number.

The sample teaching units are out of date

Thank you for your comments. We acknowledge that the sample teaching units contain out of date objectives but continue to publish them because they can still be used as examples for ICT lesson planning. The up to date learning objectives can be found in the Secondary ICT framework area of the site.

I believe that you have to go to the National Curriculum section of the QCDA website for the level descriptions. You can use this URL to view information on the programme of study for KS3 ICT:
http://curriculum.qcda.gov.uk/key-stages-3-and-4/
subjects/ict/keystage3/index.aspx
and follow the link from there to the attainment target, with descriptions of level 4 upwards.
(I had to split the address into two lines to display it in full.)
