The 2006 autumn materials for the science subject leader meetings are available here. Please note that the presenter’s notes are not available in the participant’s pack. The materials contain notes and resources to support three sessions:

  • Session 1: Behaviour for learning in science – Further guidance and support for subject leaders to promote effective behaviour for learning in science lessons.
  • Session 2: Progressing to level 6 – A look at the implications of the Science and innovations investment framework, the features of pupil progress to level 6 and the implications of this for their future success in science.
  • Session 3: Key Stage 4 science. Planning for progression in How Science Works – Exploring the role of the subject leader in ensuring an understanding of the implications of the new GCSE PoS across their department and including a more detailed look at how the ideas in How Science Works might be developed during Key Stage 4.
