Can somebody explain to me why none of the optional tasks assess levels 7 and 8? This is a real problem.

Can't really explain it I'm afraid but as they've only recently added level 8 to APP I suspect we won't be getting any exemplifiers. Try using the tasks and ideas attached to the progression maps for ideas on what to do with or how to assess levels 7 and 8. If you already know this then I'm sorry I can't be of any help.
